Open House Public Meeting – January 27, 2026
The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) invites the public to attend an Open House Public Meeting for the IL 113 Kankakee County Study.
The purpose of the meeting is to present planned improvements for IL 113 and provide an opportunity for community members to learn more about the project and share feedback with the project team.

Date: Tuesday, January 27, 2026
Time: 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. (Open House – stop by anytime)
Location: Riverside Medical Center, 350 N. Wall Street, Kankakee, IL
What to Expect
This meeting will be held in an open house format. There will be no formal presentation.
At the meeting, attendees can:

Review project exhibits and maps

Learn about planned improvements and environmental considerations

View a continuous audio-visual presentation

Talk one-on-one with representatives from IDOT and the project team

Provide written or verbal comments
Exhibits will be available throughout the meeting, and project team members will be on hand to answer questions.

The public comment period will remain open through Tuesday, February 24, 2026.
